45 years in pharmaceutical marketing, 43 of them at Aristo, from Medical Representative in 1983 to Senior General Manager. I build divisions and launch brands, and one of those launches created a category that did not exist.

What I can take on.
Divisions, launches, and the brands that outlast them
45 years of building pharmaceutical divisions and launching the brands inside them, in India and in Nepal — from product registration through to the field force that sells it. One of those launches created an IQVIA category that did not exist. The brand is now worth ₹1.5 billion and the category ₹22 billion.
- Division formation in India and Nepal, from product registration to field operations
- New product launch, from ideation to post-launch monitoring
- Brand positioning and messaging for healthcare professionals
- Key opinion leader engagement
- Field force training, and productivity per representative
- Market research and data analytics through IQVIA and SMSRC
- UCPMP and Section 194R compliance
The move from the field into marketing
In 1983 I joined as a Medical Representative in Kanpur. I became the first person in Aristo's history promoted into the product management team from the field. I have spent the years since mentoring three generations of marketing talent, and training the medical representatives and regional managers who came after me.
- The crossing from field sales into product management
- Scientific training for medical representatives and regional managers
- Mentoring toward brand and group product manager roles
- Building and lifting field team productivity
